What to ask for, how to describe what you want, and why 'deep tissue' is not automatically better.
Be specific about outcome rather than technique: 'my calves are wrecked from hiking' gets you a better hour than 'deep tissue, please'.
Licensing matters. In Colorado, massage therapists are state-registered; you can ask about credentials without being rude.
Book the end of a day rather than the middle. The benefit tends to fade fast if you go straight back to a keyboard.
