North Cheyenne Cañon
A steep, wooded canyon on the southwest side with everything from a short walk beside the creek to serious climbing on the connecting trails.
The canyon runs cooler than the rest of town, which matters in July. Even a short walk near the creek feels like a change of climate.
Options scale cleanly: a 30-minute stroll from a lower lot, a moderate hour on the middle trails, or a long, steep push if you want one.
Weekend parking is the constraint, not the trails. Arrive early or plan a weekday visit.
